AICE members Roza Kamiloglu and Disa Sauter together with Josh Tybur from VU Amsterdam are excited to announce the launch of a citizen science project. This initiative delves deep into an emotion we've all encountered but seldom understood in its entirety: disgust.

From the foods that make our stomachs turn to memories that evoke feelings of revulsion, disgust is a powerful emotion that shapes our daily decisions and judgments. Yet, the intricacies of how we experience this emotion on a personal level remain largely uncharted. This project seeks to bridge that gap.

AICE members Roza Kamiloglu and Disa Sauter are inviting everyone to share their personal encounters with disgust. By participating, you'll not only contribute to a broader understanding of this profound emotion but also gain insights into how your experiences compare with others. The study is available in both English and Dutch, making it accessible to a wider audience.

How Can You Contribute?

  1. Visit our project website: https://ickystuff.org/
  2. Share your experiences and instances that triggered feelings of disgust.
  3. Receive personalized feedback, offering a comparative insight into your experiences.

The team believes that through collective effort, they can uncover the many layers of this emotion. So, whether you're contributing your experiences or helping spread the word, your involvement is invaluable.

Join them in this journey and help shape the understanding of the world of disgust!
