  • Profile

I earned my undergraduate (B.Hons) and master's degrees from the Department of Psychology at Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. Currently, I am a doctoral researcher at the Social Psychology Department at the University of Amsterdam, working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bertjan Doosje and Dr. Disa Sauter. Our research is focused on examining socio-ecological models of resilience in Syrian refugees who are the largest group of asylum applicants in the Netherlands. Socio-ecological models of resilience emphasize the interdependence between individuals and the social and ecological systems in which they live. However, these models have not been widely used to investigate refugee populations. Therefore, we are conducting further investigations to examine the resilience of refugees, while considering various risk and protective factors at different levels. My PhD project involves using a mixed-method approach, including a systematic review, qualitative and quantitative analysis, to explore different factors contributing to resilience across socio-ecological levels. The Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), a grant by the Ministry of Finance Republic of Indonesia, funds my PhD project.
